Ingredients
All purpose flour (maida) 1 1/2 cup
Chickpea flour (besan) 1/2 cup
Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
Clarified butter (ghee) 3/4 cup
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Baking soda one pinch
Cardamon powder 1/2 tsp
Method
Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. Take all purpose flour, chickpea flour, baking powder, baking soda in a bowl and mix well. Add powdered sugar and cardamon powder.
Mix all the ingredients properly. Add clarified butter (ghee) to the bowl and make a soft dough.
Make small round balls and press them little. Put all the balls on a baking tray.
Bake the balls at 180°c for 15-20 minutes. Naankhatai is ready. Take out from the oven. Cool down the naankhatai and serve with hot tea.
