Mutter Gobhi Pulao
Everyone's favorite mid day meal. Easiest to cook during a lazy afternoon.

Ingredients
Rice 1

Peas (mutter) 1/2
cup
Cauliflower (gobhi) 1/2
cup
Chopped onions 1/2
cup
Ginger paste 1
tsp
Garlic paste 1/2
tsp
Green chili paste 1/2
tsp
Clarified butter (ghee) 4
tbsp
Asafoetida 1/4
tsp
Cumin seeds 1
tsp
Red chili powder 1/2
tsp
Coriander powder 2
tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2
tsp
Garam masala 1
tsp
Cumin powder 1/2
tsp
Salt to
taste

Method
Soak the rice for one hour. Cut the vegetables into small
cubes.
Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida and stir
for one minute.
Add onions and cook till onions turn golden brown.
Add peas and cauliflower and saute for two minutes.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, red chili powder and garam masala and mix well.
Add few drops of water (around 2tbsp), Cover the lid and
cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Add soaked rice to the pan. Saute for 2 minutes.
Add 2 cups of water and mix.
Bring to boil on high flame.
Cover the lid and cook till the water dries on low flame.
Mutter gobhi pulao is ready.
Transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with curd.
