LOBIA KEBAB


Preparation time -  40-45 min
Cooking time       -   25-30 min
Serves                   -   4

Ingredients :

Lobia (Black eyed Pea)              1 Cup
Boiled Potatoes                           2 Nos
Onions                                          1/2 Cup
Green chilly                                 2 tbsp
Rice flour                                     4 tbsp
Salt                                                to taste
Red chilly powder                      1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder                      2 tsp
Garam Masala                             1 & 1/2 tsp
Dry mango powder                    1 tsp
Chat masala                                2 tsp
Roasted Cumin Powder            1 tsp
Turmeric powder                       1/2 tsp
Oil                                                 4 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup                        2 tsp
Tamarind Chutney                    2 tsp    

Method :

Take 1 cup of lobia and 4 cups of water in a Pressure cooker and boil. Keep aside.

Mash boiled potatoes. Chop green chilies and onions. Keep aside. 

Mash the boiled lobia in a different bowl. Add mashed potatoes, onions, chilies and mix well.
Add salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder and chat masala. Mix well.


Add rice flour and mix well to make a dough.


Grease palms with oil and make round kebabs. 

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, put kebabs and shallow fry till it becomes golden brown on both sides.

Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with Ketchup and tamarind chutney.
